THE VALLEY OF ROSES
MOROCCO ON HORSEBACK: Circuit on horseback from Skoura's oasis, 30 km east of Ouarzazate to Kelaa Mgouna.
Duration: 8 days/7 nights - 6-day circuit on horseback
Day 1 : Welcome at Ouarzazate airport. Night in hotel.
Days 2 - 7: Circuit on horseback. 4 nights in bivouac and 1 nights in cottage. Return to Ouarzazate in the early afternoon.
Day 8: Transfer to Ouarzazate airport and return flight.
DESCRIPTION
Our new Marocan horse-ride take us in fabulous landscapes where are situated the valleys of the High Atlas. We cover by horse the palm grove of Skoura, then beautiful oasis to join the roses's valley where are situated the extraordinary Atlas's gardens. An horse-ride that offers various landscapes: mountains, oasis, Berber villages, kasbahs, gorges, canyons and opened valleys.
PROGRAM
Day 1:
Flight in direction of Ouarzazate, welcome at the airport and transfer towards the hotel. A visit is possible, about the arrival schedule, by the Taourit's kasbah, old residence of the pacha of Marrakech. Diner and sleeping at the hotel.
Day 2:
Transfer at the Skoura's oasis, departure point of the horse-ride, distribution and preparation of the horses. In saddle, we across the palm grove before to arrive in an oasis to have a breakfast. In the afternoon, we cover a desert plateau to the Atlas, where we have our first bivouac.
Day 3:
Itinerary towards the Ait Ahmed's valley. We accross some hamlets by the tribe of Imghrane, during we are going along the Atlas, then a break to have a lunch on a plateau with a beautiful view. We carry on then a way between two mountains. We accross again some villages before to arrive at Taoujgalt, where we have our bivouac.
Day 4:
We go back up the bed of an oued and we accross some villages of the tribe of Ikandoulne. After the lunch, we accross a plateau where green-oak and genevriers abound, to the Ouzighriout's valley, where we have our bivouac.
Day 5:
We carry on in the beautifulest valley of the High Atlas central : the Roses's valley. We go in the gorges, then we can have the opportunity to see the fabulous kasbahs made with pisé. Lunch at Boutaghar. The afternoon, we go down the Mgoun's valley with these picturesques villages to the Hdida's village.
Day 6:
We carry on our way along the Roses's valley to Kelaat Mgouna (capital of the rose in Morrocco), lunch in Kelaa Mgouna. In the afternoon, we join the Mille Kasbahs's valley. Bivouac along the valley.
Day 7:
Last step by horse along the valley. After the lunch, transfer towards de Ouarzazate. Diner and sleeping at the hotel.
Day 8:
Transfer at the airport and return flight
