VALLEY OF ZIZ
Down the High Atlas the Ziz Wadi winds through pink rock gardens and ocher cliffs.
As the mountains lower the Wadi widens and hot air drafts announce the approach of the great desert.
The silhouette of Djebel Erdoud looms on the horizon and a big palm grove extends in front of this scenery - the Tafilalet. On this trail we follow the footsteps of the trans-Saharan caravans, which in former times transported wares to Black Africa and into the Sudan. These sandy tracks lead us further south where a sea of red dunes invites us to dream of mysterious adventures and endless freedom.
