ROUND TRAIL OF ESSAOUIRA

RIDING IN MOROCCO: Circuit from the small port town of Essaouira.

Duration: 8 days / 7 nights - horseback riding trail 6 days

Day 1: Welcome at the airport of Marrakesh. Transfer to Essaouira. Night in the hotel.
Days 2 - 7: Round trail with the horse. Nights in tents or with inhabitants.
Day 7: Visitation of Essaouira in the afternoon. Night in the hotel.
Day 8: Transfer to Marrakesh and return flight.

This round trail near Essaouira is one of our more easy trails because the terrain is hardly uneven. It nevertheless offers a wide variety of landscapes. Wooded hills with argan and cedar trees alternate with small vales, dunes and deserted beaches.

Essaouira is a city with a unique architecture of its port and fortifications (Vauban style) and a special atmosphere that reigns there. It awakes a timeless feeling that no longer exists in the modern world, a sense that the past still lives on. In former times Essaouira was a pirate headquarter, nowadays it is famous for its musicians and artists from all nationalities. Moroccan craftwork can be admired in many different forms, including jewelry and inlay work. It is ranked also among the best places for wind sports like surfing and windsurfing throughout Morocco.

If it is possible it would be a great idea to prolong the vacation for spending some more days in Essaouira or Marrakesh and do some shopping.

Duration: 8 days including 6 days on the horseback.

Note: The flight schedules at certain times may require to spend the first night (and / or the last night) at the hotel in Marrakesh instead of the planned night in Essaouira. Transfer to Essaouira early the next morning.
