Between mountains and the desert, between the Dades and the Draa Valey there lies the Djebel Saghro, a volcanic massif of outstanding beauty.
With 2600 meters the Kouadouch is the highest point of the Djebel Saghro.
Gorges and rocky peaks are strangely reminiscent of the landscape of the Hoggar desert. Bare landscapes hide some green valleys, which are covered with almond trees, oleander and fig and palm trees. Seasonally one can spot small cereal crop fields.
On the first glance the landscape appears inhospitable but yet it is a paradise for herds of goats and camels. This animals belong to the nomadic tribe of the Ait Atta, who wrangle their herds from the highlands of the M'Goun, the second highest summit of the High Atlas. Their presence creates a special atmosphere in this lunar landscape.
Duration: 8 days including 6 days on the horseback.
